The work, which pushes the camera to the very limits of its capabilities, to the point of visual “noise,” seems like a metaphor for our threshold of understanding. What appears there is no longer a clear image, but a liminal experience where the signal is lost, yet something still manifests: a firefly. This spark amidst the noise acts as an epiphany, a call to wonder, to attention, even to faith in the imperceptible. The time in which we live, thanks to technology, is leaving us with no space for reflection. The closest thing to good time is that contemplative time, the time to observe nature and its incredible changes. Changes that allow us to see the duration of time, outside of virtual time.
